It is the reponsiblity of Human Resources to interpret these policies
and procedures. Except for provisions of these policies specifying
employee rights, Human Resources may, when circumstances warrant,
issue determinations which may vary from these policies.
Within parameters established by these policies, departments
may issue their own policies. In the event of conflict in such
cases, the Human Resources Policies and Procedures take precedence
over individual department policies.
Governance at UNL is according to the Bylaws of the Board
of Regents of the University of Nebraska and the Bylaws of the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln. If any point in this chapter
is in conflict with either set of Bylaws, the Bylaws shall be
the final authority.
Except for the Bylaws, these policies supercede all previously
published policies governing employment practices at UNL.
