The Employee Assistance Program is offering a series of Friday morning chats for all faculty and staff feeling socially isolated.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln employees can access W-2 tax forms electronically via Firefly.

Employees must be enrolled to receive the W-2 forms via the online service. Opting for electronic delivery allows employees to have early access to forms in mid-January and the ability to review W-2 forms from previous years. It also reduce printing and postage costs for the university.

As a result of an Executive Order signed by President Trump on December 11, 2020, Gov. Ricketts has announced that Nebraska state government agencies will be closed on Thursday, December 24, 2020. State law provides that whenever the President gives federal employees paid time off, the State of Nebraska shall grant the same benefit to state employees.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 3. Employees will return to work on Monday, Jan. 4.

The University of Nebraska system has extended the deadline for a program that allows employees to voluntarily reduce work hours and pay, but maintain full-time benefits coverage. Announced in June, the program is intended to reduce labor costs and address budgetary impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The University has created a Voluntary FTE Reduction program which grants most of its regular, full-time Office/Service and Managerial/Professional employees a one-time option to voluntarily reduce their work hours and corresponding pay to no lower than a 0.75 full-time equivalent (FTE). This opportunity to request an FTE reduction will only be open from June 1 through September 1, 2020.
