As you may know, Congress recently passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). Under the FFCRA, most U.S. workers are eligible for up to 80 hours of emergency paid sick leave for reasons related to the coronavirus, plus an additional 10 weeks of paid Family and Medical Leave for childcare because of school closures tied to COVID-19.

The Employee Assistance Program administers a loan fund designed to assist non-probationary, regular university employees in financial crisis.

Financial hardships caused by the spread of COVID-19 can be helped with the EAP's Employee Emergency Loan Fund.

Beginning Monday, March 23, the University Health Center medical clinic will offer immediate care services to UNL faculty, staff and their spouses/partners enrolled in the university employer-based insurance plan. Dependents are ineligible for care at this time.

As a result of an Executive Order signed by President Trump on December 17, 2019, Gov. Ricketts has announced that Nebraska state government agencies will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.  State law provides that whenever the President gives federal employees paid time off, the State of Nebraska shall grant the same benefit to state employees.
