Scope

This policy applies to all property owned and operated by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).

Policy Statement

Public Law 94‐344 shall govern the proper use and display of flags on the UNL campus. The U.S. flag and the State of Nebraska flag will be lowered as directed by the Governor of Nebraska or the U.S. President. 

Facilities Maintenance and Operations supports two official flag locations:

• Canfield Administration Building on City Campus
• East Campus Mall, in front of Chase Hall

All other flag locations are supported by local departments or auxiliaries.
